We are looking for someone who has experience with doing Business in Africa and has a passion for teaching, to help us build our Business Management Degree Program. We are looking for individuals who enjoy facilitating challenging conversations, coaching and mentoring aspiring leaders, and are excited to create a highly effective and scalable learning experiences. We’re fusing product development principles, instructional design, and real-world expertise to create a program designed to train a new generation of pan-African business leaders and entrepreneurs.

ABOUT OUR BUSINESS MANAGEMENT MAJOR

At ALU, our approach to Business education is a departure from conventional, heavily theoretical, lecture-based approaches, and instead, focuses on active forms of learning. Our Business Management Degree Program introduces students to foundational business skills through a “flipped classroom” and challenges them to extend their learning through case challenges and live projects with corporate partners. ALU’s Business Management major introduces students to the knowledge and skills for launching and leading impactful businesses.

We are also in the process of launching our very own Social Innovation Program where students are working on social entrepreneurship and innovation concepts and applying them to Social Businesses in Mauritius.

In Mauritius, we offer our BM degree in partnership with Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU).

ABOUT THE ROLE

The day to day of this role involves developing corporate projects with clients by visiting them, understanding their needs, creating projects for our students to work on; as well as supporting and coaching students throughout their projects by building their skills. You will be acting as both a Project Manager with our Corporate Partners as well as a coach for our students.

You will also be designing and facilitating skill based workshops needed for our students to be able to deliver on their projects. And as you create these workshops you will apply what we know about learning and teaching to design experiences that enable students to push beyond the baseline of learning for the sake of learning.
