Job Details

This is an exciting opportunity to join the technical team of the School of Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol, providing support to the Environmental Geosciences teaching programme. The role holder will manage the Chemistry Teaching Laboratory in the School, which houses analytical and field equipment associated with undergraduate teaching and project research in this area. The successful applicant will use their specialist knowledge and skills to engage, support and train students and technical and academic colleagues in techniques associated with environmental analysis (e.g. IC and ICP-OES) and contribute to the development and delivery of laboratory and field-based teaching activities. They will also have a good working knowledge of the health and safety requirements for these activities.

You will have either vocational qualification (NVQ level 4-5 or equivalent), formal training or a relevant degree (preferably Earth Sciences or Chemistry).
