The School of Psychology at University of Southampton is seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in health psychology to join our group of world class researchers and educators in the Centre for Community and Clinical Applications of Health Psychology (CCCAHP) and Centre for Sexual Health Research (CSHR). This post is in partnership with Solent NHS Trust Sexual Health service and will specifically focus on sexual health research, including (but not restricted to) digital interventions. The applicant’s interests will complement the broad range of research activity within CCCAHP, and our ambition to deliver (1) impactful health psychology research in collaboration with clinical services, and (2) high quality undergraduate and postgraduate education.

The applicant should be able to evidence excellence in teaching, and have a growing national/international track record in research as evidenced by publications/grant seeking that is commensurate with their level of appointment.

Our School is one of the largest providers of postgraduate research training in the UK, offering a range of MSc programmes (Research Methods, Health, and Clinical), research doctorates, and Doctoral Programmes in Clinical Psychology and Educational Psychology. In addition to national and international collaborations, we enjoy long-standing research links with colleagues across Psychology and the University, including those in Psychiatry, Medicine, Health Sciences, Biological Sciences and Social Sciences.
