Duties and responsibilities:
Perform general administrative and office responsibilities with regard to research activities.
Perform general office administration, e.g. typing correspondence, meeting management, filing, record-keeping, handling of telephonic and general enquiries.
Liaise between the Faculty and the Research Development Department with regard to RIMS, and perform all tasks related to this.
Handle arrangements for and administration of Faculty Research Forum, including the following:
Sending circular letters,
Collecting and distributing articles and abstracts,
Compiling forum programme; and
Other logistical arrangements.
Relevant post school qualification.
Three (3) years’ relevant office administrative experience.
Computer skills related to MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Have a client centred approach.
The ability to function effectively under pressure.
Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) and, the ability to function well in the university’s richly diverse working environment.
Previous applicable experience in a higher education institution/research.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft / RIMS.
Proficiency in Sesotho will serve as a strong recommendation.
