Help us reimagine the civic University for the next century

The University of Bristol is working with the City Council, local communities and industry to develop a new £300 million campus in the Enterprise Zone at Temple Quarter. With a focus on digital technologies and their application this exciting programme will bring immense benefits to the city of Bristol and beyond and will bring together engineers, social scientists and industry partners. The University is committed to using the Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus (TQEC) to reimagine what it means to be a civic university for the next century, by ensuring the new campus delivers life changing opportunities to communities, organisations and individuals across the city of Bristol.

We are recruiting for a Campus Operations Programme Manager to join our programme team.  Working with the Chair, academic lead and members of the TQEC Campus Operations Sub-Programme Board you will oversee the development of and monitor delivery of the TQEC with regard to the operation of the campus and its operational relationship with the rest of the University.

You will make sure that we have the right strategy and plans in place to engage with a wide number of stakeholders at each stage of the campus development.  You will also ensure that operations between University campuses are considered and planned - initiating and delivering workgroups focussing on a range of campus operation themes - including (but not limited to) integrated service delivery, operating an innovate and porous space, accessibility and inclusiveness.

You will be responsible for ensuring the TQEC is built to maximise the student, staff and visitor experience, and to lead the development of a porous campus which has a civic university at its centre. We are looking for someone who has an understanding of this and the changing role of a UK University in its city and region.

You will have an agile mindset to spot opportunities, as well as solid project and programme management credentials to develop a programme of varied projects and initiatives, and to keep the programme on track and on budget. You will be responsible for reporting on plans and progress to the TQEC main Programme Board and to TQEC Campus Operations Sub-Programme Board.

This is the chance to be a leading player in reimagining the University of Bristol as an exemplary civic university for the next century.  If this sounds like you, let us know.

Please note: only applications via the UoB website will be accepted. Please do not submit separate CVs. Interviews will take place in the second half of October.

For more information please contact Nicola Key, TQEC Programme Manager  Nicola.Key@bristol.co.uk or Kate Miller, Head of Public Engagement Kate.Miller@bristol.ac.uk

The University is committed to creating and sustaining a fully inclusive culture.  We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities.
