PhD: Improvement of the productivity of collaborative robots in the context of manufacturing compan

Job Details

This project proposes to improve the speed, precision and safety performance of collaborative robots installed on manufacturing production lines. The integration of these robots is essential because it brings both flexibility and automation to businesses. For now, this use is hampered by human-robot safety issues that must be better controlled and by production rates too low. It is therefore necessary to have more information on the real behavior of the robot in order to better estimate the risks, the kinetic energy levels of the robot at a given instant and the means to control them. This topic proposes to improve the modeling and the control of the collaborative robots while implementing a risk management via a modification of the trajectories in real time.
