Job Details
Applicants should possess a doctoral degree by research (Ph.D., D. Sc., or equivalent) in statistics, computer science, informatics or other related disciplines. They should have a strong quantitative background with demonstrated experience in the analysis of Big Data (for structured data, unstructured data, multimedia data); be familiar with the models used in machine learning; and be proficient in the software and programming tools that are widely used in data analysis, such as SPSS, R, python and tensorflow. They should also have excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The appointee will be primarily responsible for methodological and applied work in statistical research for data in family and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) behaviors arising from the Jockey Club SMART Family-Link Project. He/She is expected to write scientific publications, assist in writing reports and perform other duties as assigned.
