Job Details

Are you an enthusiastic and experienced researcher in the field of concrete durability?

Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge as part of an international academic / industry collaboration?

Do you want to work on an exciting collaboration between the Universities of Leeds and Manchester, understanding the long-term performance of concrete structures?

As part of PLEXUS, an EPSRC funded project to develop new collaborations within UKCRIC partner institutions, the University of Leeds has funding for a short project to investigate changes in the performance of concrete under extreme loads and how its performance changes as a function of concrete ageing. Led by Professor Leon Black in Leeds, you will make use of the newly acquired facilities within the University's Centre for Infrastructure Materials, and work with academics at the University of Manchester to understand changes in the microstructure and phase assemblage of concrete upon carbonation and how this affects performance under extreme loads.
