Work Experience Manager (Lead Specialist Practitioner)

The Employer Engagement team within the Careers and Employability Service, based in Student Services, provides high quality, work experience opportunities and engagement to a diverse student body.  You can find out more about our programmes and services at: www.southampton.ac.uk/careers. 

Our Employer Engagement team operates in a fast-paced environment delivering Careers Fairs, employer events and c900 work experience opportunities, across multiple programmes, annually.  This is a demanding role with challenging KPIs.  As Work Experience Manager, you will be responsible for the operational and line management of a team that is focused on engaging students with these activities and ensuring a quality experience for all stakeholders, internal and external.  Additionally, it will be your responsibility to ensure all supporting administration is progressed efficiently and effectively and to the highest standards.  

We are seeking an individual with excellent people management and team skills, someone who is innovative, able to manage multiple activities and deliver to deadlines. You will be a confident, credible and inspirational individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. This post is a permanent position offering a salary of £30,395.00 per annum.  Further benefits of this role include the opportunity to join the University's pension scheme, 30 days annual leave and access to a number of University employee discount schemes.
