Based in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, the School of Systems, Management and Leadership focuses on the development of skills and methods to use technology to build systems that deliver value to enterprises.  The School aims to develop the design skills, leadership and processes needed to implement, manage and develop information systems and engineering systems economically and effectively.
 

The School of Systems, Management and Leadership is seeking to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to contribute to conducting research and writing scholarly publications in the area of Information Sciences, Computational Intelligence and Decision Making.

In this role, you will:

• Develop new models in the area of aggregation and decision making by using some well-known techniques in the literature including probabilistic reasoning, fuzzy systems, rough sets and the ordered weighted average (OWA).
• Collaborate on research connected to bibliometrics.
• Write and collaborate on high quality scholarly publications.
• Participate in various research activities.
• Support in writing or assisting in preparing grant applications.

 

As the successful applicant, you will have:

• A PhD with a strong background in Information Sciences, Computational Intelligence and Decision Making.
• The ability to engage in developing new ideas and tools for computational intelligence, information sciences and decision-making.
• Experience working in an interdisciplinary research team.
• The ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, experience incorporating a variety of disciplinary perspectives.
• Experience in writing scholarly publications with new ideas and novel models.
• Expertise in information sciences, computational intelligence and decision-making. (Knowledge on fuzzy systems, aggregation operators and probabilistic reasoning will be highly valued.)
