Combining Organic Synthesis with Synthetic Biology to Develop New Leads to Antibiotics

A Research Associate position in organic synthesis is available immediately until the 30th July 2019. The successful applicant will work in the School of Chemistry under the supervision of Professor Chris Willis and in close collaboration with scientists within the Bristol Synthetic Biology Centre, BrisSynBio, and in particular with Dr Paul Race and his group in Biochemistry.

We are seeking an organic chemist with experience in multi-step synthesis of target compounds, NMR spectroscopy and a strong interest in natural products research and interdisciplinary work at the chemistry biology interface. We are seeking to fill the post asap.
