Job Details
The University of Queensland's Faculty of Medicine is an internationally recognised provider of world-class education and research. The research-intensive Faculty has a gross budget of almost $300 million, employs approximately 1000 continuing and fixed-term staff (headcount), has a community of more than 4000 non-salaried academic appointees and around 3200 students (headcount).
The Faculty of Medicine offers Australia's largest medical degree program for graduates and school-leavers. Undergraduate and postgraduate programs are available in the disciplines of Medicine, Health Sciences, E-Health, Mental Health, Biomedical Sciences and Public Health.
The role
The Manager, Academic Administration forms part of the Student and Academic Adminstration leadership team. This position supports the Senior Manager Manager, Student and Academic Administration across a range of areas and is responsible for internationall engagement, governance, appeals and placements.
The person
Applicants should possess postgraduate qualifications or progress toward postgraduate qualifications, coupled with extensive relevant university experience; or equivalent relevant experience. The successful applicant should have thorough knowledge of the University's structure, in particular as they relate to student and academic administration, demonstrated experience working in a management or supervisory role and excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Applicants should also have experience in responding to complex issues and the ability to positively develop and manage strong working relationships.

Remuneration
This is a full-time, continuing appointment at HEW Level 8. The remuneration package will be in the range $92,811 - $104,214 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $108,589 - $121,930 p.a.).
