Job Details
Founded in 1936, the School of Veterinary Science has a rich history and a reputation for graduating self-reliant, independent and highly capable veterinarians with plenty of initiative and drive. The School has high quality facilities at the UQ Gatton Campus, providing the teaching, research and clinical infrastructure and resources to develop its strong reputation as a leading provider of veterinary training, research and clinical care. The school also maintains a Small Animal Hospital and Large Animal Clinic at Dayboro, north-west of Brisbane.
The Role
The purpose of this position is to provide veterinary clinical service teaching as part of the School's Production Animal Service (PAS) team. This includes participating in the PAS ambulatory veterinary roster managing production animal clinical cases during regular working hours and sharing the after-hours and weekend duty rosters for the PAS team.
In addition to ensuring excellence in clinical care, the incumbent will actively participate in the clinical and pre-clinical teaching and instruction of undergraduate and postgraduate veterinary science and veterinary technology students as well as clinical training of interns and residents.
The Person
Applicants must have a degree in Veterinary Science or Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent), registrable in Queensland. Depending on the level applying for, you must be able to demonstrate previous clinical experience in the delivery of rural/mixed practice veterinary services or equivalent.

Remuneration
This is a full-time fixed term appointment advertised at multiple levels Hew 6/7 and Hew 8. Candidates are requested to indicate the level they are applying for in the application. The remuneration package will be in the range
Hew 6- $92,142- $109,419 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of 9.5%
Hew 7 - $81,883.65 - $89,559.15 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of 9.5%
Hew 8 - $92,811 - $104,214 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of 9.5%
