The role

The successful appointee will join the team of A/Prof. Markus Muttenthaler that focuses on developing molecular probes and therapeutic leads targeting the oxytocin receptor in breast cancer. Specifically, the appointee will be responsible for the development of oxytocin receptor targeting tracers to visualise tumours, development of tumour growth inhibitors and in vitro and in vivo target validation. The appointee will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and collaborative support, will be encouraged to apply for additional research funding, and will be involved in supervision of honours, masters and doctoral students.

The person

Applicants should have a strong desire to develop a successful and highly-productive research career in chemical biology. They should possess good research skills, a strong methodological background, excellent statistical and analytic skills. Additionally, they must be able to demonstrate excellent good writing abilities and the capacity to work with multi- and interdisciplinary research teams.

Remuneration

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for 1 years at Academic level A or B.

The remuneration package for Academic level A will be in the range $75,557.10- $87,535.13 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $88,401.81- $102,416.10 p.a.).

The remuneration package for Academic level B will be in the range $92.142.74- $109,419.20 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $107,807.01- $128,020.47 p.a.).
