Role Description

Conduct research as part of the NHMRC Project Grant: (1) under the direct supervision of Chief Investigator Conjoint A/Professor Joerg Lehmann, based at the Calvary Mater Newcastle Hospital.

Overview of Unit/School and Position Context

The postdoctoral fellow will be a member of the Medical Physics Research Group (MPRG) and the Priority Research Centre for Cancer Research, Innovation and Translation (PRo - CaRIT) . MPRG sits within the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences in the Faculty of Science.

Role Responsibilities And Typical Activities

Research and Innovation

  • Conduct research into real-time verification of radiotherapy treatments. Write and submit research papers, in collaboration with CI and international PIs.
  • Presentation of results at national and international conferences.
  • Apply for internal and externa l grant funding schemes (ECR, conference travel, etc) 

 

Teaching and Learning Performance

  • Assist in supervision of RHD students.
  • There may be an opportunity to teach undergraduate courses. 

 

Service and Engagement

  • Referee and papers for research journals Number of papers reviewed
