The School of Chemical Engineering delivers teaching and research programs that educate chemical engineers to play leading roles in the chemical, biochemical, pharmaceutical, environmental, food, energy and materials industries. An opportunity now exists for a Professor of Bioprocess Engineering to join the School of Chemical Engineering, on a full-time continuing basis.

The successful applicant will be a global leader in bioprocess engineering research and development, with proven ability in the design and delivery of up-to-date curriculum focussed on industrial bioprocessing in sectors including pharmaceutical; materials; food, wine and agriculture. Your excellent communication, engagement, project management, and leadership skills as well as comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience in one or more areas including bioreactor design, downstream separations, and formulation design, will be highly regarded.

In this role you will participate in the modernising the existing undergraduate pharmaceutical engineering curriculum, and development of new advanced coursework Masters programmes aimed at educating domestic and international students. Your skillset will complement the University's considerable existing expertise in process engineering, pharmaceutical engineering, nano-materials, plant genomics, crop improvement, sustainable agriculture, horticulture, viticulture and oenology. These areas form the basis for innovative multidisciplinary initiatives to be shaped and led by the Professor of Bioprocess Engineering.
