Centre of Research Excellence in Spinal Pain, Injury and Health (CCRE SPINE)

The CCRE SPINE is a world leading research laboratory that undertakes research to understand the conservative management of musculoskeletal pain. The program involves research from basic laboratory research to clinical trials of treatments. The team is headed by Prof Paul Hodges with funding from the National Health and Medical Research Council.

 

The role

The successful appointee will work as a Research Fellow (Planning and Analysis of Complex Data) on a Program Grant funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia. The role of the Research Fellow is to work with the Program Grant investigators to contribute to a range of tasks including advanced support for planning and analysis of complex data in the Centre for Clinical Research Excellence in Spinal Pain, Injury and Health (CCRE SPINE). Supervision of honours and research higher degree students is required.

 

The person

The successful applicant must possess a Doctoral Degree in a Health Discipline (e.g. physiotherapy) or be nearing completion of a PhD. A significant research experience in the field of musculoskeletal pain/injury/health is required. Essential experience includes linear and non-linear methods to analyse data related to movement and muscle activation, statistical methods for dealing with large complex data sets, collection and analysis of data from a range of methods including electromyography, movement analysis, pain measures. You will be able to demonstrate a track record of research relevant to the role.

Remuneration

This is a full time, fixed term appointment for 12 months at Research Academic level B. The remuneration package will be in the range $92,142.74 - $109,419.20 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range of $107,807.01 - $128,020.46 p.a).
