Job Details

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer: Graphics to join the team responsible for this successful and high profile suite of courses at Norwich University of the Arts. The role will involve coordinating, developing and delivering the shared Year 1 programme across the three awards of BA (Hons) Design for Publishing, Graphic Communication and Graphic Design and contributing to teaching on Year 2 and Year 3 as required. You will work within a team of seven full-time academic staff who support the three awards under a single Course Leader.

The successful candidate will be an experienced and committed educator in Graphic Design with an understanding of the needs of students making the transition into Higher Education. You will be able to demonstrate a strong level of organisational skills and the ability to work with colleagues across the university to ensure a high quality student experience.

You have a strong understanding of contemporary Graphic Design and, ideally, a background as a professional designer. You will be familiar with Higher Education recruitment processes and be able to identify successful strategies for working with feeder institutions.

The post holder will be proactive and innovative in their approach to the role with strong team working skills and an ability to contribute to the management of the course in collaboration with the Course Leader and team.
