We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer: BA (Hons) Graphic Communication to join the wider academic team working across a suite of successful and high-profile graphics courses at Norwich University of the Arts. The role will involve acting as Subject Lead for Graphic Communication, coordinating, developing and delivering the Year 2 and Year 3 programme of the course and contributing to teaching across the Graphics courses as required. You will work within a team of seven full-time academic staff who support the three awards under a single Course Leader.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of contemporary graphic design practices and their multiple applications in industry. Skills and experience in applying graphic design across a wide range of print and screen/digital environments, including design for web, app design and user experience is essential. You will be fluent in the current demands of industry and confident in helping to prepare students for a highly competitive employment market. Experience and understanding of interdisciplinary working, design-thinking, creative coding and human-centred/issue-based problem-solving is desirable.

You will have a credible and up-to-date background in graphic design, through both professional and relevant academic experience. You will be able to demonstrate subject-based leadership and vision, as well as high levels of organisational skills and the ability to work with colleagues across the university to ensure a high-quality student experience.

The post holder will be proactive and innovative in their approach to the role with strong team working skills and an ability to contribute to the management of the course in collaboration with the Course Leader and team.
