Event and Marketing Officer (Future Worlds)

The Event and Marketing Officer role is a vital part of the initiative, responsible for planning and executing the events programme and communication campaigns to excite and inspire people at the University. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dependable and organised candidate who has excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to make an impact. If you are not genuinely excited by the world of startups and spinouts then this isn't the role for you. Our team is passionate about entrepreneurship and the candidate will co-operate closely with them as well as working with faculty staff, academics, researchers, students, entrepreneurs and high profile external stakeholders.

Effectiveness in this role depends on planning and executing a high impact events programme, so prior experience and a commitment to quality in this area is a must. Experience creating and delivering memorable marketing campaigns, measuring their success and optimising over time is important. Future Worlds' impact relies on achieving high quality and momentum with limited resources, so being innovative to get the greatest value out of a tight budget is another important skill. This is an exciting role in a startup accelerator with ambitious plans as it moves in to a bold new physical space.
