The role

The IT Support Officer will provide Information and Communication Technology support to clients via telephone support, remote desktop access and face-to face communication. Where the requirement is beyond scope of phone/email and on-site support it is the role of the support officer to oversee the escalation and resolution of incidents to internal or external service providers as required.

The person

Applicants should have a degree with a significant computing component, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. You will have a breadth of general computing and network knowledge with demonstrated ability to solve problems or liaise with others to develop solutions. You will have detailed knowledge of current Microsoft Windows 10; (But also legacy Windows Environments such as XP, 7, 8) Apple OS X; TCP IP Networking; Network based file and printer sharing and SOE management. In addition, for appointment at HEW Level 6 you will be required to have demonstrated skills in development and/or maintenance of multi-user systems and extensive knowledge of TCP/IP networking.

Remuneration

This is a full-time, continuing appointment at HEW Level 5 or 6. Appointment level will be dependent on qualifications, skills and experience. The remuneration package will be in the range $64,597 - $72,348 p.a. (HEW 5) or $74,207 - $79,964 p.a. (HEW 6), plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17%. Total package will be in the range $75,579 - $84,648 p.a. (HEW 5) or $86,822- $93,558 p.a. (HEW 6).
