Job Details
Do you have ‘Front of House,' or box office experience and a passion for theatre and events management?
As an Events Assistant, you will work as a member of the theatre staff team within stage@leeds and the School of Performance and Cultural Industries, assisting the Artistic Director in the smooth, day-to-day operation of our publicly-licensed theatre and in School activities associated with the theatre complex. You will assist the Artistic Director in the safe, and high quality operation of the theatre complex, ensuring compliance with both licensing and Health and Safety matters and working to promote a safe working environment which shares best practice. Working closely with the Artistic Director, student staff and volunteers in the stage@leeds box office, you will oversee box office financial procedures, training and the online booking system, liaising with both internal and external clients and ensuring a high standard of service. With a passion for theatre and events management, you will have demonstrable experience of working in an administrative and financial capacity in a professional theatre, performance or arts organisation and ‘Front of House,' or box office experience. You will have an excellent understanding of good practice in Health and Safety and will be self-motivated, flexible and proactive, with the ability to manage and prioritise your own work and to use initiative where required. Please note that the post requires occasional moderate to heavy lifting. Flexible hours of working (evenings and weekends) will also be required, to facilitate the School's performance schedules, for which time in lieu will be given.
