The role

  • The successful appointee will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, documenting, and deploying applied electromagnetics algorithms for electromagnetic imaging for electromagnetic imaging systems
  • The successful appointee will have access to UQ facilities (lab, libraries,  databases, project drives, … etc) that serve the project
  • There are opportunities to work with an elite group of researchers and a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers, industry partners & clinicians, and external agencies to develop co-operative research initiatives.

The person

Applicants should possess qualifications in relevant disciplines. They should also have a strong desire to develop a successful and highly-productive research career in applied electromagnetics, and to demonstrate experience in implementing computational electromagnetics

Applicants should demonstrate expert knowledge in any of the areas of in applied electromagnetics for electromagnetic imaging systems and microwave engineering, good general research skills, a strong methodological background, excellent statistical and analytical skills, and the capacity to work with multidisciplinary research teams. They  are expected to demonstrate high-level interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate, consult and negotiate with other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

Remuneration

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for 2 years at Academic level A/B. The remuneration package will be in the range $64,533 - $109,419p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $75,504 - $128,020p.a.).
