Senior Toxicologist - technical expert for the department
Take your technical toxicology expertise and join an organisation that is driving through change within the agrochemical sector despite the sector facing increased regulatory scrutiny. Based on increasing regulatory demands, the organisation is looking to secure a hire within the R&D team for a Toxicological expert. Focusing on human health assessments within crop protection, you will be responsible for the regulatory aspects and dossier registration.
Within this position as a senior toxicologist, you will have responsibility for individual toxicology studies through to entire 5-year development programmes for new active substances for incorporation into company dossiers for active substances and their products submitted to regulatory agencies worldwide. Numerous opportunities exist for scientific growth within this role including working on cross-active ingredient projects, innovative/alternative toxicity testing approaches and communicating data to a wide variety of audiences.
The position will involve close liaison with registration colleagues and technical experts across a wide range of disciplines within the company but also industry associations and national or international regulatory authorities.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Educated to degree level. Ideally a Masters or Ph.D. in toxicology or related area and experience in the agrochemical industry.
Strong scientific background and critical thinking skills coupled with application of scientific principles and exposure data/metrics for use in regulatory sciences and risk assessment
Whilst this is not a management position, candidates ideally should demonstrate teamwork abilities to manage and coordinate multiple projects and chemistries
Strong toxicology and human health assessment experience to be able to handle complex issues.
The above ideally within the agrochemical sector.
