Job Details

Beacon House is the flagship University of Bristol reception and student learning commons.  The post holders will be required to present a professional, tactful and enthusiastic welcome to existing and prospective students, their parents and members of the public promoting a positive vision of the University of Bristol.  Beacon House's central location and identity as the University of Bristol reception will result in a wide variety of visitors and enquiries and it will act as a focal point for activity during Welcome Week and Open Days, potentially receiving several hundred visitors per day at peak times.

The Receptionists will manage enquiries from students and visitors, in person, via email and telephone demonstrating discretion and initiative in resolving issues wherever possible.  Reporting in to the Customer Service and Facilities Co-ordinator, the post holder will work flexibly and collaboratively with a Beacon House team comprising café, cleaning, janitorial and learning support staff, sharing best practice and striving to provide excellent customer service.

The hours of work are Monday - Friday 10.00am -  6.00pm.  There are two part time posts available on a two day / three day basis.
