Job Details

The Department of Information and Communications Technologies at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona invites applications for tenure track faculty positions and in all topical areas of interest of the department. We seek highly qualified applicants with a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching. The Department coordinates teaching in Computer Science, Data Science, Audiovisual Systems Engineering, Networking Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. The Department is specially interested in candidates whose profile matches some of the following subjects: Computer Systems, Acoustics, Quantum Computation/Information, Numerical and Computational Methods for Biomechanics, Data Processing of Biological/Microscopic Data. Priority, however, will be given to the overall originality and promise of the candidate's work over any specific area of specialization.
 
Applicants must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in electrical, computer or biomedical engineering, computer science, mathematics or a closely related field, must have demonstrated an ability to conduct outstanding independent research, and must show promise for excellence in teaching. Although we anticipate filling positions at tenure-track assistant professor level, exceptional applications at more senior levels will be considered.
