The Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center is seeking a pediatric hematologist/oncologist for a faculty position with specialization in thrombosis and hemostasis at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). We are seeking an individual with proven expertise in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and arterial thrombosis. The successful candidate will participate in the clinical, clinical research, and administrative activities that includes a multidisciplinary team with deep expertise in the conditions we treat. The candidate must also collaborate with pediatric subspecialists (including Interventional Radiology, Cardiology, Surgery, Intensive Care, and Laboratory Medicine), Pharmacists, and Nursing staff with extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of thrombosis and proven strengths in collaboration/team building, system-based practice, and evidence-based management. Potential leadership opportunities within the division are available depending upon the candidate’s interest and experience. Physicians and scientists in our program participate in active clinical and laboratory research on thrombosis and anticoagulation. Applicants should be interested in further developing experience in thrombosis and anticoagulation clinical trials.
The Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center has a faculty numbering more than 120, with exceptional research and clinical programs in non-malignant hematology, hematologic malignancies, solid tumors, experimental therapeutics, gene therapy, vascular anomalies and neuro-oncology.
