Work Specifically with Private Foster Carers

A London based Local Authority is seeking an experienced Social Worker with Fostering experience to take on a specific role where they will work solely with children who have a Private foster care arrangement

Highlights:

• Role is a part of a wider project being rolled out by the LA
• Work specifically with service users with a Private foster care arrangement
• Innovative Authority which is rolling out the Mocking Bird Project as well as Virtual Reality
• Stable service with most staff employed on a permanent basis
• Authority use the Hackney Model and operate in Pods - this post will be based in a Pod
• Authority also use Systemic Practice

This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a new project that aims to provide a more targeted approach to Fostering by dedicating this position to work only with service users who have private fostering arrangements. Furthermore the role provides a better working synergy between Social Workers from other services as the post is based within the Corporate parenting service so that there is a greater awareness of all cases and there is a more holistic approach to care.

This is a very innovative Authority which has received funding to role out a number of new projects such as the Mocking Bird Project and Virtual reality all of which you will be a part of.

To be considered for this post you should have experience of working within a Fostering service. Candidates with experience within IFA are also being considered.
