We are working with an exporter of well-known products in the automotive industry. The company is currently looking to hire a Junior Sales Manager who will focus on the African region. The position is based in Luxembourg.

The organisation is specialising in the export of European-made batteries and lubricants across the Africa and the Middle East. They are a family owned business - SME, a company which has both sales and technical staff. With this role you will have the chance to travel internationally and establish a strong network of distributors and clients. You will be managing some clients from day 1 and you will really get the chance to learn continuously and develop your own portfolio in the region. You will learn about different business cultures and the uniqueness of the African market for these products. There is a growing demand in the region meaning that your knowledge and expertise will be of massive value and will greatly increase your future employability and remuneration as early as from the following 2-3 years.

Their office is based in Luxembourg, meaning that you will have the opportunity to take advantage of their tax system and benefits. This can have a very positive influence on your financial situation.

Your activities in this role will include:

  • Define and develop the prospecting and growth strategy for the region based on the global growth strategy
  • Detect new business opportunities and to build successful partnerships
  • Analyze potential & set up commercial plans.
  • Define the go to market strategy with the existing distributors in order to activate the sales in their sell-out channels
  • Detect upsell/cross selling opportunities with the existing customer portfolio
  • Negotiate prices & agreements and you follow up that margins are in line with regional pricing strategy

Your profile:

  • Sales experience ideally in the African automotive market
  • Experience in channel sales strategies
  • Ability to work independently and learn continuously
  • Willingness to travel 30%
  • Fluency in French and English, Arabic would be a great plus

For this position our client is offering an annual salary package of EUR 30,000 - EUR 60,000 plus bonuses, benefits, company car.
