The Centre for eLearning Innovations and Partnerships in Science and Engineering (eLIPSE)

The Centre for eLearning Innovations and Partnerships in Science and Engineering (eLIPSE) acts as an incubator for technologies supporting learning, and, through cooperation with the University's Information Technology Services (ITS), develops prototypes for eLearning tools suitable for deployment across the University. 

The role

The successful appointee will provide a high level of software development and project management for eLIPSE.  This position provides technical leadership with expertise in the areas of software analysis and development, and team mentoring.  The position will frequently be a major link between eLIPSE and academic clients.

You are a leader who lives for technical challenges, and the satisfaction of innovating and creating.  You use your experience and vision to coordinate and organise your team to achieve great outcomes.  You are also a teacher, who disseminates and shares knowledge to advance team members and build incredible teams.  You work closely with others to create designs and realise solutions that enhance user experiences.  You are a capable communicator who is able to express and explain your ideas to a diverse group of people.

The eLIPSE development team currently uses agile project management practices and a tech stack based around JavaScript technologies such as Typescript, Node.js, and Docker containers and cloud hosting.  We are interested in your passion for and your stories about technical leadership, team mentoring and building, and innovative product creation.  We are interested in how you continuously grow and develop your skills and those of the people around you.

Remuneration

This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for 1 year.  A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
