School of Psychology

The School of Psychology is one of the most prestigious schools of psychology in Australia, and its strong reputation is built on excellence in both research and teaching. The role

The successful applicant will be expected to engage in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and supervision in psychology, with a focus on health psychology at the postgraduate level. Administrative service and course coordination within the School will be required.

 

The person

Applicants should possess a PhD in health psychology, or related area, and full registration and endorsement as a health psychologist (or willingness and capacity to obtain endorsement). Practice skills in health psychology are essential, as is experience and ability in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in psychology, supervising honours and professional masters theses.

The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to develop a coherent research plan and pursue a productive program of research in psychology, and provide evidence of publication in high quality academic journals and books. Capacity to develop an internationally competitive research program supported by external funding is essential.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated. While the role is advertised as full-time, we encourage applications from those who may be seeking a part time fractional appointment.

Remuneration

This is a full-time continuing appointment at Academic Level B or C.  

The remuneration for Academic Level B will be in the range $92,142.74 - $109,419.20 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be $107,807.00 - $128,020.46 p.a.). 

The remuneration for Academic Level C will be in the range $112,874.46 - $130,150.91 p.a. plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be $132,063.11 - $152,276.56 p.a.)
