Job Purpose

The postholder will assist in conducting a National Institute for Health Research-PHR-funded study. This mixed-methods study aims to evaluate the implementation and impact of the national school food standards and school food plan in secondary schools and their pupils. The postholder will be responsible for the day to day running of the study, and will undertake, or support other assist in all aspects of data collection and analysis, and will have a specific focus on collection and analysis of nutritional intake data.

 

Person Specification

  • High classification degree or equivalent in public health nutrition / nutritional epidemiology
  • Practical experience of nutritional data collection
  • Ability to undertake quantitative data analysis and some knowledge of qualitative methodology
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of people, including, children, parents and other professionals (e.g. teachers)
  • Ability to access and organise resources successfully
  • Ability to produce high quality presentations and written reports
