Job Details

The world will change again today.

Help shape its future.

The School of Economics, Finance and Management at the University of Bristol is single-minded in its focus to address critically the challenges that face individuals, organisations and society at large during the 21st Century. Our community of international scholars is drawn from a wide range of complementary disciplines; their research already plays a significant role in shaping global policy and practice.

Our Department of Management is continuing its period of exciting growth which is creating further new opportunities. We are seeking high-calibre, original thinkers and innovators to help us pioneer a cutting-edge department and school.

Working in tandem with the University's new strategy and Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus development, we will continue to take a unique interdisciplinary social sciences approach to tackling the big issues triggered by globalisation, inequality, environmental and social sustainability, disruptive technologies, innovation and entrepreneurialism.

This is a rare opportunity to be in the vanguard of unprecedented expansion at a truly world-class university.

We are looking for a high calibre and committed Lecturer in Operations Management with interests across the following areas:

  • Operations/strategy, Supply Chain/Logistics, Operational Research, Data Analytics and Project Management
  • Healthcare operations management/strategy
  • Sustainable and inclusive industrial growth

The closing date for applications is midnight on 4 November 2018.  It is expected that interviews will be held on 4 December 2018.

Informal enquiries to Professor Jonathan Beaverstock, Head of Department (jonathan.beaverstock@bristol.ac.uk) or by telephoning Jo Maltby-Webb, PA on 0117 9289049.

We appreciate and value difference, seeking to attract, develop and retain a diverse mix of talented people that will contribute to the overall success of Bristol and help maintain our position as one of the world's leading universities.
