The research group of Quantitative Economic History, under guidance of Prof. Dr. Mattia Fochesato in the Faculty of Business and Economics invites applications for a Research Student Assistant (Hilfsassistent/-in) position with a 20% appointment.
Your position
Our research group is currently in the process of launching new research projects. For these projects, we are looking for the support of a motivated student like you in the following tasks:
- Organization, analysis and initial broad summary of the literature.
- Collection, organization, coding, and pre processing of historical quantitative and qualitative data (under our instruction)
- Implementation of data analysis (under our instruction)
- Undertaking administrative tasks (E.g. document preparation with specific instructions)
Your profile
- Good writing and communication skills in English
- Motivation to learn new research tools
- Willingness to work in a team
The following skills are not strict prerequisite, but it would be a plus, if you are already familiar with some of them.
- LaTeX
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT)
- R and/or Stata
