This is a senior business partner level opportunity giving you a platform to play a strategic part in the development of the human safety and regulatory department. Conducting risk assessments for cosmetic and fragrance ingredients, your position will be to manage a team of toxicologists and manage the department globally. Our client is a leading organisation within it's field with a large Product Safety department. Whilst competitors have made redundancies, this organisation has consolidated efforts with a renewed focus and strategy within the Human safety department.

As the Head of Toxicology you will have the chance to have full oversight of the human safety department. Strategy, technical ability, commercial ability will all be necessary and utilised in this position to maximise departmental and business growth. Therefore you will identify safety issues and how it impacts the business. Utilising the head of Global product Safety and head of Environmental Sciences, you will develop risk assessment methodologies and advise.

The position will require people management as you are the leader of the human safety department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Educated to degree level with ideally a Ph.D. in toxicology or closely related field. Masters may be considered depending upon experience

10+ years relevant toxicology/product safety experience within the consumer products, FMCG or related sector.

Good knowledge of global regulations that impact the FMCG industries

Thorough knowledge of formulae creation procedures

Preferably proven leadership / people management experience

Knowledge of safety systems and databases

Availability for international travels

Fluency in English (French language knowledge is a plus)
