UT-Regional One Physicians, a partnership between Regional One Health and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, is recruiting for a Hematologist to serve as the Medical Director at the Diggs-Kraus Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center. Regional One Health and The University of Tennessee Health Science Center lead the largest academic physician group in the mid-south. JOB DESCIRTION:

The Diggs-Kraus Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center is a well-established clinical facility, serving a population of over 500 patients. UTHSC offers an exceptionally collaborative environment with clinical programs in both hematology and oncology as well as rapidly growing clinical, basic and translational research programs. This Center is supported by a team of professionals, including nurse practitioners, a clinical psychologist, a medical social worker and resources to build an even stronger clinical and research team. Successful candidates will have had training and demonstrated expertise in the care of patients with sickle cell disease and in clinical investigation; however, outstanding candidates in the early stages of their careers will be considered. Academic rank will be based on qualifications and experience.

JOB REQURIEMENTS:

  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of Tennessee
  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice
  • Board certification or Board eligible.  
  • Eligible for malpractice insurance.
  • Completion of an accredited residency required and sub certifications/training highly preferred.
  • Training and demonstrated expertise in the care of patients with sickle cell disease and in clinical investigation is preferred.
