Continually developing, sustaining and evidencing the quality of our education offer is a key imperative of our Student Education Strategic Delivery Plan. Work is already underway to refresh our programme offering, to continue to attract high quality students and deliver on our commitment to equip students with the skills to succeed in a challenging global market.This new role will contribute to this by taking the learning from projects such as ‘Why is my curriculum white?' and implementing recommendations on how an inclusive and diverse curriculum can be developed.Leading a two-year project, you will drive forward the existing strands of work to develop the diversity of the curriculum and the development of inclusive approaches to student education.

 

You will develop success measures to assess the impact of the changes on gaps in degree attainment (particularly the gaps in first and second class degrees awarded to BAME and white students as well as mature vs under 21 learners). The focus will be on curricula and learning and will feed into the work of the Student Education Academic Lead.It will also complement the work of a Project Officer (0.8 FTE) to continue existing work, including leadership of the Inclusive Learning and Teaching Development Group, and support the coordinated approach.Through the leadership of the Inclusion and Engagement Strategy Group and sub-groups, two strands of work  to address inclusive teaching and curricula are underway, there is also related work to develop Personal Tutoring. This post will work to provide additional leadership, co-ordination to embed developments into business as usual and evaluation of the work.
