Job Details

The School of Education is seeking to appoint a full-time temporary Senior Teaching Associate to assist with delivery of the BPS accredited MSc and BSc Psychology of Education programmes, and the MSc Education and Educational Research programmes.  The post is for a 12-month period (maternity cover), commencing from December 2018/January 2019.   

 

The successful candidate will work with existing staff in teaching across social psychology units and research methods units for BSc and MSc students. They will supervise dissertations on the MSc Psychology of Education programme, and possibly on other MSc programmes. They will also act as personal tutor to BSc and MSc students. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to other units across the School of Education's MSc and BSc programmes, according to expertise. The MSc Psychology of Education is a BPS accredited conversion course which is highly attractive to students who have extensive relevant professional experience and are preparing for professional training and careers as psychologists in the education, counselling and mental health services. The new BSc Psychology in Education degree uses psychological research methods to understand and interpret social and human behaviour in the context of education.

 

The successful candidate will have expertise in Social Psychology, and Research Methods, and will augment the existing highly-successful team. They will be able to apply their expertise to the context of education and have the potential to contribute across our diverse portfolio of BSc and MSc units.
