Librarian

The Library is integral to learning, discovery and engagement at The University of Queensland. We provide access to quality scholarly information resources and quality client focused services and spaces to support teaching and research at The University of Queensland. We partner with the UQ and wider community to provide pathways to enrich learning and research.

The role

The successful appointee will provide proactive, discipline-based scholarly information and communication services by liaising with clients in designated Faculties, Schools and Institutes and deliver a broad range of high quality discipline-based library information services to enrich teaching, learning and research. The advertised position is based in the team providing services to the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law.

The person

Applicants should possess qualifications which qualify for Associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and professional experience in an academic, special or research library. Good communication, liaison, interpersonal, customer service and teamwork skills are also required, together with the ability to work flexibly, independently and collaboratively in a busy, client-focused and changing environment. This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

Remuneration

This is a full-time, continuing appointment at HEW Level 5/6 Broadbanded. The remuneration package will be in the range $64,597.80 - $ 79,964.50 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $70,734.59 - $93,558.47 p.a.).
