IT User Support & Software Programming-Graduate, Full Training

Brand new fantastic opportunity with a global chemical company who is looking for an ambitious IT support person to join the growing team - this position is based in the Frankfurt/ Wiesbaden area. In this position you will be responsible for supporting the office in Germany for IT issues and offering support for hardware and software problems. As the only IT person at the site in Germany you can almost expect unlimited autonomy, yet still be supported by the IT senior Analyst and head of IT who will be available to provide and help or assistance needed.

You will also be responsible for the new data management and development. The software that will be used has not been chosen yet, as they are working on a brand new project to improve the internal software system. You will be given full training with any system development that will be needed, all provided by my client.

You will need to have:

• Degree and/or professional qualification
• 2+ years experience in IT support
• Good understanding of network architecture and client/server technology
• 1+ year application systems development
• Responsible for maintaining the reliable and safe day-to-day operation of local IT systems
• Supports local users
• Provides second-line investigation and diagnosis
• Resolves and closes incidents/service ticket requests as per help desk procedures
• Escalates unresolved incidents/service requests
• Logs relevant incident/service request details per help desk procedures
• Communicates with IT partners regarding incident progress
