Research Partnerships Manager - Faculty of Science

The Faculty of Science is one of the largest and most diverse Faculties within The University of Queensland and within Science Faculties across Australia. The Faculty of Science incorporates seven schools and four research centres. The units within the Faculty of Science are internationally recognised and their teaching and research successes create a stimulating environment within which the Faculty staff work. The Faculty is managed by the Executive Dean, who has direct responsibility for the physical, financial and human resources, academic matters relating to programs and students, and a range of other areas such as the development of research, national and international marketing, and enhanced government, business and community links.

The role

The successful appointee will partner with the University's Research community (Researchers, Research Partnerships Office, Legal Services, Office of Sponsored Research and Commercial Partners) in support of the Faculty's research contract management and industry engagement.

The person

Applicants will have Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive contract management experience (preferably in the tertiary education or research sectors); or extensive contract management experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. The Research Partnerships Manager is a highly visible representative of the Institute and as such must possess excellent customer service and negotiation skills, strong communication and writing skills, coupled with a thorough knowledge of research contract management.

Remuneration

This is a full-time opportunity until February 2020 at HEW Level 8 or 9. The remuneration package at HEW 8 will be in the range $92,811 - $104,214 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $101,628 - $121,930 p.a.). The remuneration package at HEW 9 will be in the range $108,810 - $115,114 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $127,307 - $134,718 p.a.).
