Job Purpose
  • Work within specified research grants and projects and contribute to writing bids
  • Operate within area of specialism
  • Analyse and interpret research findings and results
  • Contribute to generating funding
  • Contribute to licensing or spin out deals with demonstrated commercial success (such as revenues, asset or company sales, IP generated) and/or public understanding of the discipline or similar

 

Person Specification

  • PhD in biopharmaceutics or other relevant topic within the field of pharmaceutical science
  • 2:1 or equivalent sciences based Bachelors (with honours) degree
  • Experience of systematic literature searching or a commitment and desire to learn to accomplish such analyses
  • Demonstrable understanding of dissolution as a predictor of pharmacokinetic profiles
  • Experience of using in silico pharmacokinetic modelling software or a commitment and desire to learn to accomplish such analyses
  • Demonstrable ability to keep up to date with latest methods and key advances in relevant fields
  • The ability to work and think independently and to contribute to the planning of a programme of scientific research
  • Effective organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines
  • Evidence of an ability to write to a standard required for research reports/publications
  • Willingness to work flexibly, when necessary, to fulfil the needs of the research project
  • Evidence of an ability to work individually and in a research team
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements within the laboratory setting
  • Familiarity with computer packages for data analysis
  • High level analytical capability
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly
