Job Details
Applicants should hold, or be about to obtain, a doctorate in Human-Computer Interaction (broadly conceived), with experience of designing and conducting experiments with human participants, and skills in software development. Your research so far will demonstrate an excellent track record, and the ability to work in an interdisciplinary collaborative environment.
You will work closely with other postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates in the BIG lab. There will also be collaboration with wider labs at Bristol, including those led by Professor Bruce Drinkwater (Mechanical Engineering) and Dr Adam Perriman (Cellular and Molecular Medicine).
Within this broad objective there will be freedom and flexibility in helping to shape the research project. The ultimate key requirement is to demonstrate academic excellence through high-quality peer-reviewed papers and strong interaction with the HCI community, so you will need good evidence of strong academic skills in writing for top-tier publications and networking.
This position is being offered on a full time, fixed term contract until 30 September 2019 in the first instance, with the possibility of extension.
For informal enquiries, please contact Prof. Mike Fraser (Mike.Fraser@bristol.ac.uk)
We appreciate and value difference, seeking to attract, develop and retain a diverse mix of talented people that will contribute to the overall success of Bristol and help maintain our position as one of the world's leading universities.
