The Discipline of Biology has performed exceptionally well in the Australian Research Council's ERA assessments, with several research themes scoring a 5 (well above world standard). In particular Biochemistry and Cell Biology was awarded a score of 5 in 2012 and 2015, and Plant Biology achieved 5 in all three assessments undertaken in 2010, 2012 and 2015.
