Job Details
The role will require, under guidance and instruction from more senior members of the Contracts Team:
- drafting
- reviewing
- proposal
- negotiating contracts with external funders and other parties as might be needed to meet the University expectations
- liaising closely with academic staff and other Professional Services teams such as Finance or Research Governance
You will make active use of our precedent and template agreements, clause bank and other sources of useful content. You must have good attention to detail and high proficiency in the use of MSWord and, after training, our other applications.
Although not essential, working in a similar environment and having day-to-day familiarity with contract terms and structure is desirable. The successful candidate will benefit from a focussed induction programme which is designed to deliver a good depth of understanding in all facets of the role and aims to impart sufficient ‘technical' contracts knowledge where required. On the job training and continual professional development will be available.
