Professor of Psychology - Ethics & Well-Being
The University of Melbourne is one of the world's premier tertiary education institutions and Australia's leading university. Its School of Psychological Sciences is one of the finest in the world (15th in QS 2018 subject rankings) offering highly regarded teaching programs and excellent research in Cognitive and Behavioural Neuroscience, Clinical Science, Cognitive and Mathematical Psychology, and Social and Personality Psychology.
We are now seeking to appoint an outstanding academic to join the newly established Ethics and Well-Being hub and contribute to the on-going research that draws on theories and methods from across psychology to study the social and psychological factors that impact ethics and well-being.
The appointee will be a well-respected already established leader internationally within moral psychology, the psychology of emotions or well-being, or a cognate field. S/he will have an ability to provide outstanding classroom teaching and a passion for inspiring colleagues and students. A commitment for research and education that crosses disciplinary boundaries and proven ability to engage with partners in industry, government and the community more widely will be essential.
