The role

The role of Postdoctoral Research Fellow undertakes research as part the ‘Breaking with the past: Responding to the challenge of identity change' project funded by the Australian Research Council Australian Laureate Scheme.

The position is expected to supervise or co-supervise research students in relevant areas and to apply for both independent and collaborative funding relevant to the project and research focus.

The person

Applicants should possess a PhD (or PhD nearing completion) in Social Psychology or a related field. Demonstrated proficiency carrying out literature reviews within academic databases is essential, as is a developing track record in research publications in national and international journals.

The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to connect and collaborate with colleagues, present research findings, demonstrate expertise in statistical analysis and database management and have a willingness to learn new statistical and data management techniques.

Sound knowledge of the social identity approach and demonstrated ability to apply social identity theorizing to advance the understanding of social phenomena is desirable.

Remuneration

This is a full-time fixed term appointment for three years at Academic Level A. The remuneration package will be in the range $66,283.50 - $89,285.83 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $77,551.69 - $104,464.42 p.a.).
