Faculty Position- Psychologist (PhD/PsyD)

Pediatric Hematology/Oncology

Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, in partnership with the Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health System, seek a faculty-level psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to provide clinical services for the patients and families under care in our Division, including providing diagnostic and counselling services and referral to child psychiatry, if medications are indicated. In addition, the psychologist will participate in educational programs for students, residents and fellows. The ideal candidate would also have training and expertise in neuropsychological testing. Finally, the psychologist would be expected to participate in new and ongoing research projects in collaboration with members of our Division, as well as with other members of the Cancer Institute.The successful candidate will join a busy team, currently consisting of seven pediatric hematologist/oncologists and five nurse practitioners, with shared access to clinical research staff

In addition to contributing to ongoing trial accrual, clinical candidates will also have an opportunity to potentially develop independent research initiatives with a broad range of potential clinical and internationally known basic science collaborators with strong research programs, including clinical trials research, cancer chemoprevention, clinical and basic pharmacology, and Phase 1 clinical trials , as well as with the Child Health Institute of the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and also participate in a broad range of teaching initiatives with medical students, housestaff, and fellows.  Rank will be commensurate with experience and level of training.
