Part Time Qualified Social Worker - 22 hours a week
Due to a member of staff going on long term sick leave, our client has a vacancy for a part time social worker (22 hours a week) within their Child Protection team for a local authority near Luton.
Most workers stay in the authority for a long time. The Managers in the Child in Need team are permanent members of staff, providing stability within the service. You will not have to worry about managers leaving, making it easier for you to forge a working relationship with colleagues.
Within the Children in Need team the caseloads are capped, the authority aims cases to be at 19, allowing social workers more time to focus on their cases in depth, giving you the opportunity to make a difference.
The ideal Qualified Social Worker would need at extensive experience within children services, which would allow you to join the local authority and hit the ground running. The local authority is dedicated to maintaining continually low caseloads per social worker by ensuring that they have a steady stream of experienced social workers across the services.
