Specialise as an AMHP, BIA or Practice Educator
A Local Authority which is based in London is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Mental Health service. This is an excellent opportunity for career driven Social Workers as you will have the opportunity to take on specialist training to become and AMHP, BIA or a Practice Educator. All Social Workers in the team who had applied for further training last year had all been given the green light, with some even opting to complete an MSc.
You will be based in the community and working with service users who present with a wide range of Mental Health conditions. The post will see you carry out a range of assessments based on the Mental Health Act and as this is an integrated service you will be working alongside colleagues from the NHS. As such you will also have access to courses which are clinical in nature again helping you to expand your knowledge base.
The service is managed by the Local Authority who have recently upgraded their IT infrastructure and as a result staff have access to laptops and smart phones to enable them to work remotely. So far this has been really well received by current members of staff who have really enjoyed the greater degree of flexibility with the role.
To be considered for this post you should have experience as a Social Worker within a Mental Health service.
